VertiBaX™ was established in July 2006 following considerable public demand for a lower back support designed and manufactured for my own personal use following a serious sporting injury resulting in a discectomy. My motivation for developing the product was brought about through total frustration with current products on the market. They made me sweat uncomfortably and could not be worn underneath clothes for long periods of time. They also provide only simple support and do not enhance the body’s natural healing process, something which is essential if you are to enjoy a long and active life.

The Science

The main focus when designing the product was to produce a lower back support that not only provides structural assistance but also helps to re-develop the weakened muscle groups in the lower back.

The theory behind the Sensory Back Belt: By helping to relieve muscle tension in the lower back the vertebrae making up the bone structure in the back can re-align. In doing so the disks between the vertebrae are not put under the same tension and any pro-lapses can re-adjust, relieving pressure on the nerves and in doing so reduce pain. At the requests of customers this concept has been applied to other muscle groups around joints and a range of Sensory Wraps has been developed proving to have similarly staggering pain relieving qualities. Complimented by a range of Active Supports for the Lower Back, Knee, Ankle, Elbow and Wrist which are worn to prevent further injury on return to activity, the VertiBaX Multi-Pack Concept developed.
